Katie Elliott

Katie Elliott is an audio engineer and marching arts educator based out of the Metro Detroit area. Her love for music started from a very young age as a pianist and grew into a central part of her life today.

She began her marching career playing synthesizer and marimba for the L’Anse Creuse High School Marching Band based out of Harrison Township, Michigan where she now works as the audio coordinator and a front ensemble educator. She then went on to play synthesizer for Divergent Percussion in the years 2019 and 2020, then finding her home at Matrix World on synthesizer for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

In addition to her experience with Matrix, Katie spends her summers working as an audio engineer for the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps (2024-present). Katie has worked on the audio team at Matrix for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, working with both World and Open ensembles.

Katie currently holds a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences, and currently works as an emergency department technician. She is currently working towards a degree in Nursing.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading and traveling!
