Kyle Heissler

Kyle Heissler is a percussion educator based in the central Illinois area. Kyle is currently attending Illinois State University to earn his bachelors degree in music education. He is on the percussion staff of multiple high schools in the central Illinois area, and has a private studio of 16 students ranging from all ages and musical backgrounds. This is Kyle’s first year on staff with Matrix, working with both the world and open basslines. Kyle has spent many years in the marching activity with Pi Percussion (2020), Veritas (2022, 2023), Phantom Regiment (2022) and Matrix (2024). Kyle enjoys spending his free time outside on walks, in the kitchen finding new recipes, and reading in the company of his 3 cats.
