Christy (Niemeyer) Logan is serving as the President & Treasurer. Christy lives in New Philadelphia, Ohio and works as a Senior Accountant for Novogradac & Company. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting with a minor in statistics and economics as well as a minor in music.

Her music performance career included two years with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2008 - 2009, and four years in the Matrix Indoor Percussion Ensemble from 2008-2011. 

Christy is happy to be able to stay involved with the organization.

Carol Dewan

Carol Dewan is serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors. Carol is a retired RN living in the greater Akron area, with her husband Madhu.

Carol has 20 years of experience volunteering with community nonprofits with a special interest in fundraising. Carol was an avid volunteer for 12 years with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps.

She has a passion for working with youth and enjoys helping the community as much as possible.

Cory Lutton

Cory is currently serving as the Director of Operations. Cory is currently working as an Intervention Specialist for the Stark County Educational Service Center.  Cory is in his 24th year as an educator.  He works with students with multiple disabilities in a Transition Program to give individuals the skills needed to productive members in their community and to be as independent as possible.

Cory previously taught for 4 years in Florida in the same role.  He graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL as a double major with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12. Cory has since earned his masters degree in Education Administration from Ashland University.

Cory worked as a tech for Matrix from 2000-2002 and is excited to be back again working with Matrix Performing Arts in this role.

Maria Roth

Residing in Colorado with her husband, Kevin, Maria works with emerging companies as a Senior Manager with PwC.

Maria is a graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Maria was a member of the ensemble for 5 years [2009-2011, 2013-2014], and spent one year with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps [2009]. Maria has served on the board since 2014.

Corrie Cheyney

Corrina has served as a member of the board since 2018. Living in in Medina, Ohio, Corrina works at the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a Community Support Specialist as well as Amy’s Arbors in Valley City as a Wine Keeper and Event Coordinator.

Corrina was a member of the ensemble for three years [2006, 2008-2009] and she feels very fortunate to start giving back to the organization that gave her so much during her youth.

Colin Downey

Colin lives in Akron, OH, and works as an engineer with Timken. A U.S. Navy veteran, colin served as an aviation electronics technician from 2013 to 2017.

Colin played saxophone with the Firestone High School Marching Band and played on the drumline at The University of Akron. He has taught for a number of high school marching band programs, and started a new marching percussion ensemble at Churchill County High School in Fallon, NV during his time in the Navy.

Colin played rack in Matrix in 2013 and is very excited to be involved with Matrix again as a board member to work towards the development of the musical and personal skills of current and future members.

Corey Ward

Corey is serving as the Alumni Relations member of the board.  Corey resides in Boston, Massachusetts where he works for a non-profit mental health agency.  He is a graduate of Youngstown State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  Additionally, he earned his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from William James College. 

His performance career includes one year with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps [2009] and four years performing with Matrix [2007-2010].  Corey also currently performs with the New England Patriots Drumline during the NFL season.

Corey is very excited to play an active role once again with the Matrix organization.

Jeff Cox

Jeff is a Registered Nurse in Electrophysiology Lab at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH. He is married to his wife, Melanie, and has three boys (from a previous marraige) ages 13, 16 and 18. In his free time he enjoys golf, cooking, cricuting and creating lighting designs NewPointe Community Church in Dover, OH.

A graduate of Claymont High School (‘97) and Kent State University with (B.A. Biology ‘03, B.S. Nursing ‘04), Jeff marched bass with Matrix from 1999-2001 (aged out ‘01) and returned as a bass tech in 2002. Jeff joined the board in 2022.

Rosalie lovick

Rosalie is a lead Medical Lab Scientist at the Cleveland Clinic and lives in Cleveland Heights with her husband, Jacob. She also volunteers with the therapy dog programs at both University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic.

Rosalie marched 4 years with Matrix World from 2015-2018 on team Electro and traveled to Taiwan with Matrix International in 2017. She became a member of the board in 2022.

Rosalie is excited to be involved as a member of the board to give back to this organization.

Jacob Lovick

Jacob is a Property Management Lead at Target, and owns his own contracting business. He lives in Cleveland Heights with his wifey, Rosalie, and their pets.

He marched 6 years with Matrix World from 2013-18 on Marimba, and traveled to Taiwan with Matrix International in 2017. He became a member of the board in 2022.

Justine Lownsbury

Living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Justine works for the Milwaukee VA Medical Center as a Program Director. She is a graduate of Walden University where she obtained her doctorate in the Philosophy of Management and Leadership. As a requirement of obtaining her PhD, Justine studied the survival on nonprofit organizations in the WGI circuit, recently publishing her dissertation on her research in this field.

Justine was a member of the Matrix World ensemble for three years [2003, 2005, 2007] and while she has taught at several high schools and Open class organizations, she feels privileged to be working with the organization that first inspired her.
